New Cisco CCNP Exams |2GB
It hasn't been officially released yet but the current CCNP exams will be retired next year (around June possibly) and will be replaced by three new CCNP exams. You will only need to pass these three to become a CCNP.
Current exams:
642-901 - BSCI
642-812 - BCMSN
642-825 - ISCW
642-845 - ONT
New exams:
642-902 - Implementing Cisco IP Routing
642-813 - Implementing Cisco Switched Networks
642-832 - Troubleshooting and Maintaining Cisco IP Networks
I'm sure you have lots of questions. If they are about when the exams will be retired and the new ones begin or if you can mix and match the old and new then you will need to ask Cisco AFTER the make the official announcement.
It should take you about 1-2 months per CCNP module if you put the hours in so my personal opinion is to pass the current modules which will mean you are a qualified CCNP for the next 3 years.
The chances are that the new exams will be a lot harder than the current ones. Plus the fact you will have to learn any new content and there may not be much in the way of study guides and practice exams available for a while.

Q. Until when will students be able to take the current CCNP certification exams?
A. The four existing CCNP certification exams will be available to the general public through June 30, 2010 and to Networking Academy students using a special voucher through December 31, 2010. After December 31, 2010, all candidates for CCNP will need to pass the Troubleshoot (TSHOOT) certification exam. BSCI and BCMSN will continue to be accepted as satisfying CCNP certification requirements. Networking Academy exam candidates can mix and match CCNP exam requirements as shown in the following table.
