Lettere dal carcere è una raccolta di lettere che costituiscono il primo volume delle "Opere" di Antonio Gramsci pubblicate da Einaudi nel 1947.
L'opera che conosciamo con questo titolo non coincide con l'intero carteggio delle lettere gramsciane e nemmeno con quello di tutte le lettere che Gramsci scrisse dal carcere durante la sua detenzione (dall' 8 novembre 1926 fino praticamente alla sua morte avvenuta nel 1937). Parte cospicua delle lettere di Gramsci, scritte durante la prigionia, sono infatti conservate in forma autografa o in copia presso la Fondazione Istituto Gramsci di Roma e sono state pubblicate via via dapprima su riviste o giornali militanti e in seguito raccolti parzialmente nel 1947 da Einaudi e ancora in altre raccolte sempre più complete.
