Der Hauptteil des Lehrbuchs entfaltet die einzelnen Sachenrechte und den Besitz nach dem BGB und seinen Nebengebieten (ErbbauRVO, WEG etc.) unter Beachtung der Fortentwicklung der Gesetze durch Wissenschaft und Praxis.
Die sachenrechtlichen Sicherungsrechte werden zunachst einzeln dargestellt und dann im Kapitel uber das Kerditsicherungsrecht in ihrem systematischen Zusammenhang und ihrer praktischen Bedeutung beschrieben.
