This is the first volume of David Feltchers work on the design and development of british armour in the second world war leading us from the landships of the great war through the cavalry and infantry tanks of the 1920's and 30's up to the start of the the second war where the british tanks were shown to be out gunned and out manouvered by the germans, hence the scandal.
